PERMISSIONS POST

So Octavia now has Vriska's old powers of mind control. Fortunately (?), she's not very good at using them yet! This is where you get to dictate how good she is at using them on your characters, should she ever want to attempt it.

(It's also where you get to say "keep your mitts off my brain, spiderhag, don't even try it.")

Since canon itself has basically said "you know all those rules we had about Vriska's powers? Rules are for losers let's contradict every single one of them," the only restriction I'll put on potential victims is that robots and animals are 100% immune. Everyone else is as immune as they want to be (and anyone who doesn't comment here will be assumed to have immunity).

Finally, even if you're up for mind control generally I will always ask first before actually doing it in a thread, and the option to make it fail is always a thing. Even characters who are completely susceptible to being controlled can shake it off if they try hard enough: the control actually presents itself as a very strong mental suggestion.

OKAY THAT SAID. Please fill out the following!

Thanks a lot!

Is it okay for Octavia to attempt mind controlling them? Go ahead and try~
How difficult is she likely to find it? OLD MAN IS OLD AND STUBBORN but still has certain naivity. I'm gonna call it that 'if it doesn't go against something he'd normally do, then by all means it'll be pie'.
...so basically as if this was a d20 campaign and she was casting suggestion.

Is it okay for Octavia to attempt mind controlling them? yes please it'll be funny

How difficult is she likely to find it? Right now it'd be as easy as any other human, but it'll get start getting harder as he echoes back into an ancient dinosaur god.
That, uh, that's going to take a long time, though and you could still do it when his guard is down anyway hahah he'd be so mad

Is it okay for Octavia to attempt mind controlling them? Yupyup.
How difficult is she likely to find it? The more Umi Marina gets, the harder it'll be, given that supreme willpower is a big deal with Magic Knights.

Also getting mind-controlled could give her an echo so this might actually be a good thing!

How difficult is she likely to find it? She's pretty darn strong willed, but I don't think there are any other things that would make it hard on Octavia so.

How difficult is she likely to find it? Right now it should be fairly easy, she's not easily swayed but a pretty anxious person so I assume her will falls somewhere on the low to medium spectrum... But once she starts to regain her nation mind, attempting to take control of her mind or even enter it is something that would drive humans insane and idk it would work for non-nation non-humans but I think it could still create all kinds of issues.

Is it okay for Octavia to attempt mind controlling them? She can absolutely attempt it!
How difficult is she likely to find it? I have no objections to this as a player; I think that Lazarus has spent so much time being told what to do by his uncle and doctors that his will is at least malleable enough for this to work to an extent. But his mind itself isn't in the best shape; though he's very much a genius, he lives with mental illness, and I imagine those two things together can make his brain a kind of scary and even painful place to be, even for him.

Tl;dr go for it! But maybe be prepared for some broken commands and faulty manifestations of Vriska's will getting lost in translation.

Is it okay for Octavia to attempt mind controlling them? Considering that I love being terrible yes. If a situation ever arises where Tony needs to punch himself in the jaw I totally endorse it.
How difficult is she likely to find it? Well once he's further down the demon tree that's going to be increasingly difficult and prone to emergency forcefully throwing her out reactions. UNTIL THEN HOWEVER he's a perfectly normal teenage boy without a particularly focused or powerful mind so HAVE AT IT.
