So Octavia now has Vriska's old powers of mind control. Fortunately (?), she's not very good at using them yet! This is where you get to dictate how good she is at using them on your characters, should she ever want to attempt it.

(It's also where you get to say "keep your mitts off my brain, spiderhag, don't even try it.")

Since canon itself has basically said "you know all those rules we had about Vriska's powers? Rules are for losers let's contradict every single one of them," the only restriction I'll put on potential victims is that robots and animals are 100% immune. Everyone else is as immune as they want to be (and anyone who doesn't comment here will be assumed to have immunity).

Finally, even if you're up for mind control generally I will always ask first before actually doing it in a thread, and the option to make it fail is always a thing. Even characters who are completely susceptible to being controlled can shake it off if they try hard enough: the control actually presents itself as a very strong mental suggestion.

How difficult is she likely to find it? Chris is a cranky stubborn bitch and currently has two brains, sort of -- her normal squishy human organic brain, and a Cybertronian Spark. This means that while Octavia might be able to influence the squishy human bit, the Cybertronian part... probably not so much.

This is especially bad because the part of Chris that is a robot is a huge bastard and much more likely to react with violence :V This may lead to hilarity where Chris' human brain listens, but her robot arms go NOPE.JPG and attempt to strangle Octavia :V

on the bright side this also might be Chris' first clue that she's got a bad case of cartesian dualism going on V:

How difficult is she likely to find it? Maya is older than you and crankier than you. So that's already difficult. And then on top of that she's the third or fourth most powerful spellcaster in her canon.

How difficult is she likely to find it? Sam would definitely put up a fight, and as his leafe knight powers come back it might be more difficult...but for now it's probably pretty easy unless she tries to get him to do something he would never do.

How difficult is she likely to find it? These two are idiots. Like, ridiculously naive and moronic. It's gonna be pretty damn easy. Actually, hold up, the real problem would be how they'd interpret their orders. Because nobody knows how that'd go.

Otherwise, they would resist surprisingly well against hurting friends.

Is it okay for Octavia to attempt mind controlling them? Yes.
How difficult is she likely to find it? Probably going to depend on things, but I'm going to say no on having her control any of her monsters via this (more like not direct control, but trying to get her to do something that would be most effectively handled by a monster would potentially work). While her current one is pretty weak, later on she gets some powerful stuff and that could become abusive. As she becomes less human it will likely grow harder.

And since she's already regained some abilities to summon her monsters, I should probably go ahead and say those would likely be a no go. While not really animals or robots, I'd say they would be more like demonic insects and they don't have much of a brain. Also, since they are summons, they are already being controlled by Tamara.

Is it okay for Octavia to attempt mind controlling them? It's fine as long as she doesn't plan on having him do anything aggressive or violent due to the fact that controlling him in such a way would trigger a very nasty canon recurrence echo that could lead to him going on an insane killing spree. Yeah, I'm trying to avoid that one for the time being but that will change over time and maybe down the road I'd be open to Octavia setting that off.
How difficult is she likely to find it? He's actually pretty strong willed since he was eventually able to shake off the mind control that happened to him in his canon. After he's shaken off the control that comes with that nasty echo it will be a lot more difficult.

How difficult is she likely to find it? He's a cranky stubborn asshole college student who naturally buries everything, but he's not a completely impenetrable maze. She's going to have to try harder to get him slack-jawed than Alan and Karson, but it's by no means an impossible feat if she really really wants him to do something absolutely stupid (Squawk like an idiot and shit on your desk will still not work tho)
